Dr. Huber is a soil biogeochemist interested in biotic and abiotic controls on carbon and nitrogen cycling in soils as they relate to broader ecosystem function in native and agricultural settings. He combines isotopic tracking methods and ecosystem-scale flux measures to improve mechanistic understanding and modelling techniques. He studies soils primarily in dryland environments across the US and Australia, but has been involved in research projects in tropical, boreal and urban ecosystems.
