Jessica is a PhD student in Geological Sciences at UTEP. Her research focus is on pedogenic carbonate accumulation and associated CO2 efflux in irrigated dryland soils. Primarily, her methods will include geochemical analyses to characterize the impact of irrigation on biogeochemical reactions in dryland agricultural soil. She has a B.S. in Earth Science from Washington State University, and an M.S. in Geological Sciences from Central Washington University.
